Almost every web site uses some type of "programming", from a
simple response form, to visual effects, to complex database programming used to adapt a web presentation to each
user's preferences.
Starweavers utilizes the programming technologies which will achieve
the desired effects. This may be in the form of JavaScript, CGI / Perl programming, DHTML, database programming,
or other appropriate technologies.
While Starweavers' staff has programming experience, the wide range of
available technologies sometimes requires the outsourcing of programming requirements. We also utitlize pre-established
programs and scripts, tweaking them ourselves to customize them for our customer's purposes. This technique can
help to keep development costs manageable. We always stand behind the programming services we offer, whether developed
in-house or subcontracted.
On these web pages, you will see JavaScript used for visual effects which,
we hope, aid in navigation of this site. Our contact form uses JavaScript to check some form elements before it
is sent and utitlizes a CGI / Perl script to process the form. In analyzing our requirements for this web site,
we did not see a need for any other programming.
