introduction -

When we wrote the first version of this web development guide, one of the first questions we asked was, "Do you really need a web site?" Use of the internet, and the world wide web, has increased so much since then that it almost seems idiotic to ask that question. If you are a business, and you have any interest at all in satisfying your customer, we now believe that you must have a web site. We hope that this guide will give you a little direction in the development of your web presence.

A warning - things change quickly on the internet. The information in this guide becomes dated almost as soon as we put it up on our web site. Please bear this in mind as you look through the guide, particularly when it comes to prices. Also, do not take this guide to be the definitive reference on the subject. You will be miles ahead if you take the time to review the information offered by other web developers on the web. Check out current books and magazines. While you may feel an urgent need to establish your web presence, do it with an informed mind and your web development efforts will go more smoothly and yield better results.

One last note - Starweavers is always available to answer your web development questions. While you should follow the preceding suggestion to do research on your own, Starweavers will work with you to analyze your web site needs and to provide the services to satisfy those needs.
